Seniors and u16 looking for Welsh Cup repeat.

The FA Wales Women’s Cup holders Cardiff City will host South Wales Division 2 Loughor Rovers on Sunday February 15th at Cardiff International Sports Stadium, Leckwith.
The cup will be a welcome distraction to Cardiff, currently third in the Women’s Premier League Southern Division, who are without a win in all competitions since thrashing Porthcawl Town 12-1 in the last round of the Welsh Cup back in November. A run which includes recently losing 2-0 at home to bottom of the table Truro City.
Captain, Charlotte Miller, said about the draw "The girls enjoy playing Welsh Cup games as its nice to play against teams outside of our league. Its very unusual that we get a home draw in the cup, we know very little about Loughor but will be taking this game very seriously as getting to another cup final is one of our main objectives for the season."
Loughor, playing for the first time in this tournament, have only played four matches all season! They are currently fifth in Division 2 of the South Wales women league with victories over Penylan (3-0) and Roath Rangers (7-1) coming back in September 2008! They lost to Caerphilly Castle Reserves (9-2) before beating Caldicot Town (8-3) to set up this meeting with Cardiff.
Last season’s runners-up, Wrexham, have already been embarrassingly dumped out of the cup in the Second Round, going down 4-3 at Llanidloes Ladies, who now host Crannog FC.
In May 2008, Cardiff won their seventh Welsh Cup from nine final appearances (their sixth victory in succession), confirming their status as the best women’s football club in Wales.

Meanwhile on Sunday 8th February Cardiff City under 16 continue their defence of the title they won in 2008 when they travel to Ento Aberaman FC to face Llanidloes in a repeat of last season’s final.
Alex Allen, the under 16 Captain, said "We won the league, the league cup and the Welsh Cup last season as well as making the Tesco Cup Finals and this has put a lot of pressure on us to win again this season. Having had a taste of success we are aiming to make the final again. We know that Llanidloes are a good side so are expecting another close and competitive game."
Cardiff have already dispatched Penrhyncoch FC (3-0) and arch rivals Newport County (5-0), both on the road, to reach the semi-finals, while Llanidloes FC beat Kinmel Bay Girls (4-2) and Caernarfon Town (2-0).
This will be an eagerly anticipated match with Cardiff hoping for a repeat of their 5-1 victory to reach a second successive final.
