News Report
U14's v Caerphilly

On a beautiful morning for football the game kicked off with a spell of early Cardiff pressure. As a precursor to later events, Katie produced a strong run and a shot come cross which was nearly turned in by Taylor; who then fired just wide herself after a fine run from Channelle cutting in from the right.
It seemed that the deadlock had been broken when Taylor hit the net but the effort was ruled offside.
Cardiff began to get frustrated and could easily have fallen behind as Caerphilly shot just over the bar. Then home tensions were eased when Katie broke from midfield and finished well.
The second followed quickly as Channelle broke inside from the right and lifted the ball over a stranded keeper.
Taylor was keeping the away defence and linesman busy in equal measure, but broke free of both only to see her shot fly wide.
Cardiff piled on the pressure and the third came when they forced a corner that Casey tapped home.
Caerphilly broke through to pull one back against the run of play, but Cardiff continued to create chances. They were generous with their finishing and Taylor was again denied by the offside flag.
Katie continued her energetic display lobbing the keeper for Cardiff's fourth and Taylor shot just over as half time approached.
Caerphilly started the second period brightly. Taylor took a stint in goal and had to make an early save. This stirred the home defence to restore concentration and dominance over the away attack.
At the other end Channelle's finish squeaked narrowly wide after a good move and Katie burst through again but couldn't finish.
Further goals were inevitable and the fifth came when Demi rounded the keeper and finished well.
Katie burst through again only to shoot wide, but she would not be denied and added the sixth chasing down a lost cause, whipping past the keeper and finishing easily.
She made it seven with a fine finish to cap a strong display. There was just time for Courtney to hit the bar, before the whistle blew on an excellent home performance and a final score line of 7-1.
