News Report
Dinas v Under 14's

Cardiff City Ladies Under 14s inability to deal effectively with Dinas’s corners cost them dear in a first few second half minutes which were to decide the game.
In difficult, blustery conditions the teams fought hard for ascendancy in a close first period.
Home side Dinas forced an early corner, whilst at the other end Katie had a chance scrambled away by keeper and defence. In a scrappy period there were no clear chances but both teams looked threatening until the final ball.
Dinas came closest to breaking the deadlock in a goalmouth scramble, but the ball was cleared. Stevie was then forced to rush from her line to save when the visitors defence was turned. Home pressure was mounting and two shots from distance flashed narrowly wide.
Cardiff then fashioned their best chance of the half. Katie cut in from the left and hit a superb shot, which rebounded off the bar to fall to Taylor who shot wide, when it seemed she must score.
Immediately after the break the game turned, and the home side forced a corner which was inadvertently turned in for an own goal.
A second corner followed almost immediately and again the Cardiff defence could not clear and the ball was rammed home for 2-0.
Almost from the kick off a third corner was conceded and resulted in the third goal from an unopposed header.
Cardiff did not let their heads drop and a fine Erin free kick made it 3-1. The visitors were roused and mounted another attack from which Taylor forced a save.
Worryingly for the visiting support, Dinas forced another corner and the cross nearly resulted in a fourth goal. Having survived the immediate threat, poor clearing from the goal kick let the home side in for a soft goal.
Stevie then made a good save from a point blank shot as Dinas, confident of the win, streamed forward. Their fifth goal came when Cardiff failed to move out for offside and the home attack was left clear and finished easily.
There was just time for a consolation goal as Cardiff broke forward and, as the ball broke to Channelle, she finished coolly to make the final score 5-2 to Dinas.
