Show Racism the Red Card

‘Show Racism the Red Card’ is a campaign that uses football to send a simple message: There is no place for racism in the game or in life. On Sunday before their league fixture against Watford, Cardiff City Ladies showed their support for this campaign.

Cardiff captain and Wales International, Sophie
Ingle, commented that ‘Racism has no place on
or off the pitch, and our players are pleased to
be associated with the campaign’.

The club is associated with ‘The Red Card’ in
more ways than one as Reserve goalkeeper
Laura O’Sullivan is currently volunteering at the offices of the red card campaign.

And our Under 12’s are playing in a tournament on the weekend that has been introduced by South Wales Girls League for the junior girls to offer their support to the campaign.

The campaign has the full support of the club and every player. Racism segregates whilst, in contrast, football is about bringing people together, showing unity. Racism has no place here!
