Cardiff City Ladies FC held their Annual Christmas Party on Friday 2nd December at the Cardiff County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff. The event was well attended and the majority of party goers got into the Christmas mood and went in fancy dress.
There was a wide variety of imagination ranging from the original Santa’s, one even wearing a green Plymouth Argyle Santa hat (can’t imagine who that would have been) and elves, to The Incredibles, Batman and the Joker, a penguin, a crocodile, Super Mario and Luigi, Scooby Doo and even a nun, to mention just a few. Would you believe that even Michael Jackson made an appearance (who said he was dead!)?
Prize winners included Cruella De Vil and a few of the 101 Dalmations (Sophie Dando, Nia Jones and gang), Rachel Griffiths was a tremendous Gladiator and little Matthew Vaughan was Santa Claus (with a red hat not a green one!).
After sausage and chips from the local chippy, organised by Michele Adams, we all enjoyed Christmas cup cakes and mince pies donated by Greggs the Bakers. Then we danced the night away with our regular DJ, Sue Crean of Audio Junky Discos.
Before the traditional raffle, a special prize of a football signed by the Wales International men’s squad had been donated by the FAW. It was won by our very own Welsh International, Amie Lea.
A very special thank you goes to ‘Santa’s Little Helper’, and club Treasurer Christine Atkins, who worked extremely hard in organising the evening. Thank you to all who helped in whatever capacity, and for making the evening a great success.
Check out our Photo Gallery, not just for our winners shown below, but everyone that joined in the evening.
